The paper presents new data on the chemical composition of the Lower Sarmatian age groundwater aquifer, which is the main in Moldova. Based on the postulates of geological evolution theory, the interaction of groundwater with rocks, which are developed in Tomsk Polytechnic University on thermodynamic methods, and the equilibrium of groundwater with the leading mineral water-bearing rocks are calculated. It is shown that the groundwater-rock system is in
equilibrium with some carbonate minerals: calcite, dolomite, silica and Al –Si minerals: gibbsite, kaolinite, Na- and Ca-montmorillonite, illite, muscovite. At the same time, system is not in equilibrium with endogenous Al - silicates: anorthite, analcime, pyrophyllite and K- montmorillonite. As well, the calculation results of equilibrium of phreatic groundwater in Chisinau with a variety of secondary carbonate and Al-silicate minerals are obtained. It is important that the groundwater-rock system is in equilibrium with calcite, dolomite, but at the same time is not in equilibrium with strontianite. It indicates that secondary mineral precipitation is possible. Specific nitrate chemical water type, which is rarely observed in nature and characterized by the presence of anthropogenic impact in this territory, in some cases is of higher saturation as compared to calcite, dolomite and magnesite due to the fact that nitrate ion content increases with the increase of calcium content.
The data obtained allow us to consider a new position hydrogeochemical processes that contribute to the formation of the quality of underground drinking water. |
