In result of the study of preferences, offered to coping strategies in case of stress causing situation at the subjects of two educational institutions (college and lyceum), we identified the following: a) although there are essential differences among the tested adolescents in terms of way of training and final outcome, they still act in a similar way in case of stress causing situations; b) even in cases when constructive or relative constructive coping strategies are selected, due to lack of correct information, tensioned inner state, low self assessment level, adolescents have the tendency to apply them in a non-constructive manner; c) the adolescents from college have a more prominent tendency to apply stress avoiding strategies, the positive reassessment of the situation, as well as to assume responsibility in case of stress causing situations, tending to plan the settlement of the problem with the wish of emotional self control; d) the lyceum adolescents, compared to the tested subjects within colleges, tend to assume less responsibility, without clarifying yet the future priorities, living the “free flying”, seeking for their own personality. |
