Healthy lifestyle development in Kazakhstan is very actual and it is a priority of “Kazakhstan-2030” Strategy. Objective of research: national HLD policy improvement on the basis of
study prevalence of behavioural risk factors among the population. The survey was carried out in five regions
of the republic. By results of 1-4 national research
(1998, 2001,2004 and 2007) it has been found that the alcohol consumption level, a share of persons having stresses and tobacco smoking across the republic tends to decrease, but
the rates remain high. The number of people engaged in physical activity and sports and readiness of population to follow healthy lifestyle grows. Statistical analysis shows
direct correlation link between level of risk factors prevalence and chronic noninfectious diseases. On the basis of research standards of risk factors prevention were developed
and introduced. The legislative base on health strengthening and healthy lifestyle promotion among population was built up. Programs and prevention activity at PHC level are under implementation. |
