Rezumat

We present 2 cases of children of young ages, admitted at the Pediatric Surgery Clinic with the diagnosis from the previous institution - malignant hepatic tumor. Laparotomy was practiced. The presence of malignant hepatic tumor was questioned. Histopathological diagnosis revealed the liver hemangioma. Cavernous hemangioma of the liver is a tumor with a frequency of 2% of the whole population. In 5-10% of children hepatic cavernous hemangiomais detected in the first year of life. In most cases hepatic cavernous hemangioma in children is occasionally diagnosed during investigation or laparotomy for other pathologies.
