This paper contains the results of the researches made in the past few years concerning the decorative wovens ethno design. It is common to use ethnic motifs in the textile industry and handmade manufacturing, but the originality of this research stays in identification and adaptation the graphic ornaments found on Cucutenian painted pottery to textile structures. In the first stages (desk research and field research) there were revealed the elegance and the special sense of proportion for the Cucutenian decorative patterns. In the next stages, we studied the main graphic elements (most of them are based on spiral, circle and line) and we created new motifs used to design decorative wovens for interiors.
