The main goal of this research was to study the effect of sunflower broomrape on seeds soluble proteins at different sunflower genotypes. The results obtained from the variance analysis of data indicated that Orobanche cumana Wallr. had significant effects on protein content in sunflower seeds of all eleven hybrids. Broomrape infection decreased the protein content at least by 16% compared to control in each genotype. The negative correlation between number of broomrape per sunflower plant and seed protein content was observed.

Scopul principal al cercetărilor a inclus studiul efectului patogenului lupoaia asupra proteinelor uşor solubile din seminţele diferitor genotipuri de fl oarea-soarelui. Prelucrarea statistică a rezultatelor obţinute a relevat o acţiune semnifi cativă a fi topatogenului Orobanche cumana Wallr. asupra conţinutului de proteine din seminţele a unsprezece hibrizi. Injestarea cu lupoaie a indus reducerea conţinutului proteic cu cel puţin 16% în comparaţie cu controlul. A fost stabilit o corelare negativă între numărul de plante de lupoaie per planta-gazdă şi conţinutul proteic.
