Rezumat

As a result of a 3-year trial of 12 breeding genotypes chickpea derived from HC MDI 02432×MDI02419 (HC1), 11 were selected for productivity. In 2021, 7 genotypes, namely: LC4ab, LC23, LC3, C152, LC4a, LC21 and LC5, exceeded cv. Botna/Ichel by 6-12%. In 2022-2023 (droughty seasons), 6 genotypes namely: C76/7b, LC3, C152/9b, C152, LC48/14 and LC90/2 exceeded cv. Botna by 5.3 – 9.7%. In the F5 generation, 2023 (cv. Botna × cv. Ichel, HC2), 24 progenies were selected for productivity, of which 9 exceeded cv. Botna by 10.4% (A214a) – 15.1% (A178/2). In the F3 generation, 2023 (s. Alexandrit × s. Ichel, HC3), 15 progenies were selected, 11 of them exceeding cv. Botna by 12.6% (B10) - 18.0% (B4). In all HC greatly dominated intermediate type of seeds. Seeds pigmentation: in genotypes of HC1 brown - 45.5%, beige - 54.5%, in HC2/HC3 brown - 58.3%/6.7%, brown/beige - 16.6%/60%, beige - 16.6%/33.3% and orange 8.3%/0. Weight of 100 seeds ranged 29.2 -33.8g, 28.0 – 33.6g and 26.8 – 33.7g in genotypes of HC1, HC2 and HC3 respectively. Because of droughty seasons 2022/2023 noted considerable reduction of plant height (overall mean 33.1/39.3cm) compared with 2021(overall mean 61.2cm) for genotypes HC1, also noted considerable earlier maturation due to unfavorable condition.
