14 species of centrohelid heliozoans have been found in different types of water-bodies in Kyiv and the Chernigiv regions of Polissya (North part of Ukraine) and were studied with optical and scanning electron microscope. Endosymbiotic algae were revealed in two observed species – Acanthocystis turfacea Carter, 1864 и Raineriophrys fortesca (Nicholls, 1983). Aspects of relationship between endosymbiotic algae and centrohelids are discussed. |
