Rezumat

In this study we found a lot of maternal comorbidities that can influence the initiation of premature birth. The most common are gestational diabetes, premature rupture of the membranes, anaemia, urinary tract infection. These pathologies can be considered predictors for gestational age of the newborn and these pregnant women should be carefully monitored, and if is suspected a premature delivery, dexamethasone, tocolytic and antibiotic therapy should be taken in consideration, as well as transportation of the fetus in utero to the IIIrd level of perinathal care centre.
