The state registration of legal entities and individuals specified in Article 3 of Law No. 220/2007 on the state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs is carried out by the Public Services Agency through its territorial structures. One of the main responsibilities of the state registration authority is maintaining the State Register. The State Register of legal entities, the State Register of individual entrepreneurs are informational resources that are integral parts of the State Register of legal entities and contain data about legal entities and individual entrepreneurs registered in the Republic of Moldova. Maintaining the State Register involves recording data in it about legal entities, including their branches, registered, reorganized, and liquidated, about changes made to the founding documents, and other data about legal entities, as well as data regarding the acquisition and termination of the status of an individual entrepreneur by natural persons. The State Register is kept electronically through the automated information system. The data from the State Register and the founding documents are public and accessible to everyone under the conditions and within the limits provided by legislation on access to information, data exchange, and interoperability, state secrets, trade secrets, personal data protection, registers, as well as international treaties in the field to which the Republic of Moldova is a party. Information from the State Register is released or obtained upon request in accordance with the current legal provisions.

Înregistrarea de stat a persoanelor juridice şi fizice prevăzute la art.3 din Legea nr. 220/2007 privind înregistrarea de stat a persoanelor juridice şi a întreprinzătorilor individuali se efectuează de către Agenţia Servicii Publice prin structurile sale teritoriale. Una din atribuţiile de bază a organului înregistrării de stat este ţinerea Registrului de stat. Registrul de stat al persoanelor juridice, Registrul de stat al întreprinzătorilor individuali sunt resurse informaţionale care sânt părţi componente ale Registrului de stat al unităţilor de drept şi conţin date despre persoanele juridice şi întreprinzătorii individuali înregistraţi în Republica Moldova. Ţinerea Registrului de stat constă în înscrierea în acesta a datelor despre persoanele juridice, inclusive sucursalele acestora, înregistrate, reorganizate şi lichidate, despre modificările operate în actele de constituire şi a altor date despre persoanele juridice, precum şi a datelor privind obţinerea şi încetarea calităţii de întreprinzător individual de către persoanele fizice. Registrul de stat se ţine pe suport electronic prin intermediul sistemului informaţional automatizat.Datele din Registrul de stat şi din actele de constituire sânt publice şi accesibile tuturor în condiţiile şi în limitele prevăzute de legislaţia cu privire la accesul la informaţie, privind schimbul de date și interoperabilitatea, privind secretul de stat, secretul comercial, protecţia datelor personale, cu privire la registre, precum şi de tratatele internaţionale din domeniu la care Republica Moldova este parte. Informaţia din Registrul de stat se eliberează sau se obține la cerere în conformitate cu prevederile legale în vigoare.
