Rezumat

Intermediate goods trade analyzes indicate their relative importance compared to other product categories and their dynamics over time. The industry size means specialization models, outlines general patterns and volumes of intermediate goods trade for individual countries. The results indicate that intermediate goods trade can serve as an important vehicle for trade integration in world markets and allow countries to overcome adverse initial patterns of specialization, thus allowing dynamic changes in the structures of comparative advantage through learning effects
