Fourteen years after the Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova gained independence, the country is still among the poorest in the world. Evidence of its resilience and potential can be seen in the success of its ambitious entrepreneurship program designed for engineering students at the Technical University of Moldova. Now in its third year, the program continues to attract new students and plant the seeds of confidence in the young people it reaches. This paper is written to make known to European engineering educators the problems and resources of a country aspiring to membership in the European Union. |
