The paper aims to bring to the fore the two concepts in the title, which blend perfectly - collaborative and libraries, making an assessment of the main benefits that these principles bring in libraries in building and capitalizing on a profession, a system that forms the basis of any training, the key point of any community. These being clarified from a conceptual point of view, we intend to bring in the picture some examples of good practices that are based on this "collaborative" principle and which have been discussed for some time in the library world and are gaining ground. Starting from the collaboration with the office colleague, the collaboration with the services, the sections of the same institution, the collaboration with institutions from the same “level” and reaching collaborations, partnerships with local, national or international state or private institutions, NGOs, associations etc., we find that this principle is the one that occupies a primordial place in the growth, capitalization of the true value of the institutions called libraries. The technology and opportunities of the pandemic during this period were those that helped librarians put together ideas, characters, philosophies, opinions, interests, standards and documents so that their efforts reach the goals and objectives of any librarian participating in the process. of culturalization and education of the community served and not only, often even surpass them. Collaboration and partnerships with communities and other entities are in the innovation processes another trend of public libraries, as well as a component of participatory culture. Libraries are increasingly looking for organizations to partner with to make better use of knowledge, skills and resources, during innovation processes with positive results for all parties involved. Collaborations, partnerships bring benefits such as the exchange and development of skills between partners, media coverage of library services and increased innovation capacity, says Torres in the Library Journal |
