The paper describes the symbolic meaning of the joint Festive Meeting of two scientific entities - the Romanian Academy and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, which convened to mark together the Day of the Romanian Language and open the 12th edition of the World Congress of Eminescologists. The long-awaited decision of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova from March 16, 2023, by which the phrase "Romanian language" is introduced in all legislative acts, is mentioned. The main objectives of the Joint Action Plan approved by the two sister Academies on April 4, 2023 are highlighted: the organization of the annual Competition for the Awards of the Romanian Academy and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova; completing by joint efforts the composition of the specialized commissions of experts and of the Editorial Boards of the scientific journals edited by the two Academies; organization of common scientific events etc. |
