Rezumat

The paper presents short overview of the development and dissemination of an alternative method of control and synchronous multi-zone pulsewidth modulation (SMZ PWM), founded on space vector principles, for the adjustment of diode-clamped inverters (DCINs) with relatively low switching frequency (SwFr) of three-phase (3ph) and six-phase (6ph) adjustable speed drive installations. It insures providing both synchronization and symmetry of the basic voltages and minimization of common mode voltage (CMV) in drive installations. Examples of the use of this method to adjustment several topologies of DCIN-based ac drives are presented.
