The paper describes the main characteristics of indicator plants spread in the Romanian
fl ora, keen on their main indicator capacity, their possible applicability in crops. The general defi nition
of indicator plant is described through its distinct connotations. The main applications of these „vegetal
compasses” are summary treated, with detailed aspects upon their help upon the specialist. The plant
affi nity for different substratum, their synthesis capacity, pest and diseases indicators, are just of the few
treated problems. |
