The study examines the theoretical concepts related to the notions of „identity”, „historical memory”, „historical consciousness”. The research presents the theoretical treatments related to the notions examined in historical studies and demonstrates the defining elements of these notions in the contemporary didactic approach. The theoretical aspects are sought to be adjusted to the modern educational system in which the problem of identity, memory and historical consciousness acquires an educational outline and these theoretical notions are validated as elements of the modern educational system.
