Rezumat

The first results of the Collembola species diversity from the Pădurea Domnească Reserve (GPS 47°36′35″N 27°23′37″E) and the Telița Ladscape Reserve (GPS 46°58′16″N, 29°18′11″E) from the Republic of Moldova are presented. The Pădurea Domnească Reserve is located on the bank of the Prut River, while the Telița Ladscape Reserve lies on the bank of the Dniester River. A total of 44 species, belonging to 33 genera and 12 families were revealed in both studied reserves, including two collembolan species – Ceraophysella mosquensis and Arrhopalites principalis new for the Republic of Moldova. The studied habitats of the Pădurea Domnească Reserve revealed large portions of mesophilous (17) and hygrophilous (7) species, two species are meso-hygrophilous, while the others are eurytopic or have no preference. In the Telița Ladscape Reserve, mesophilous species are prevalent (10), along with xerophilous (2), hygrophilous (1) and the other species have no preference. In fact, both studied reserves are located in temporarily or periodically flooded areas, so the proportion of moisture-loving species is high, especially in the Pădurea Domnească Reserve. The work also includes the note that completes the list of collembolan species from the Cobîleni Nature Reserve, with a new species Hypogastrura szeptycki. As a result of investigations carried out during intensive research in the last thirty years in the fauna of the Republic of Moldova, 276 species are currently known in the country. The author is most grateful to Skarzynski Dariusz (Zoological Institute, Wrocław University, Poland) for the identification of Hypogastrura szeptyckii species and Weiner Wanda Maria (Krakow, Poland) for the fruitful multi-year collaboration. The study was performed under the project no. 20.80009.7007.02 “Evolutionary changes in economically important terrestrial fauna, rare and protected species under anthropogenic and climatic changes”.
