Rezumat

The [M(1-MeIm)2(H2O)4](Tpht) • 4H2O complexes (where M = Ni, Co; 1-MeIm is 1-methylimidazole; H 2Tpht is terephthalic acid) are synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. The ionic structure is built of the [M(1-MeIm) 2(H2O)4]2+ cations and (Tpht) 2- anions. The metal ions have a distorted octahedral coordination. The cations and anions are united by hydrogen bonding system.
