The legal nullity of the Russian-Turkish Treaty of 1812 falls under the scope of the Soviet-Turkish Treaty, signed in Moscow (1921). Because, our decisive step towards EU accession (on March 4, 2022, the Republic of Moldova officially submitted its application for accession to the European Union), is, in fact, a delayed return to the bosom of traditional European civilization, which cannot be qualified only as a "real award" or a hypothetical one, but as a legitimate restoration of a geopolitical situation, albeit partial, rectifying the consequences of the ill-fated Russo-Turkish Peace Treaty of 1812. The Bessarabian question being an ethno-political problem solved in 1918, but which was reopened following the geopolitical reconfiguration after the Second World War, as a result, remains to last even today. |
