The spiritual life of a nation, its daily routine care are described in its own literary writings: customs and traditions, songs and dances, legends and incantations, myths and anecdotes, ballades and elegiac folksongs (doinas). The study of the oral literature, of customs and religions have become the central preoccupations of the scientists of all times. An active interest about the folklore is manifested on the behalf of our contemporaries, who are totally aware of the special educational value of the folklore. We have a sacred duty to pass the folkloric treasure that we have inherited from our ancestries, to younger generations in order to survive as a nation and to preserve the personality‟s dignity. |
