The paper analyses contemporary processes of digital platform thinking of today’s society. The author analyses the digital translation ProZ platform functioning as well as the way digital dictionaries are built in as digital translation platform instruments. Culturonyms’ translation process is in focus from the viewpoint of social and cultural characteristics and digital translation platforms possibility to render the meaning properly. Relevant analysis is given to culturonyms’ meanings and definitions with the methodological technique “umbrella sentence”.
