Modern research on emotional intelligence in forensics has explored the role of emotional intelligence (EI) in various aspects of forensic work, such as police investigations, court proceedings, and corrections. Some studies have shown that high EI can improve the accuracy of lie detection and investigative interviewing, as well as the ability to manage one's own emotions and cope with the emotional demands of the job. However, other research has also highlighted the potential limitations and challenges of using EI in forensic contexts, such as the risk of bias and subjectivity. As such, there is ongoing debate and further investigation into the practical implications and ethical considerations of incorporating emotional intelligence into forensic practice. |
