The article deals with the scientific study of moral and ethical principles of advocacy. The application of ethical standards in advocacy is one of the most important issues that is actively discussed by the public and the scientific community. A lawyer, being a member of a society, has no right to neglect ethical principles and he is obliged to compare his actions with the system of special ethical values and standards of conduct for a lawyer that exist in the state and in society. The moral values of legal proceedings are will, honour, dignity of the person, justice, truth, objectivity, legality, etc. Any principle of public justice that has legal justification is undoubted moral value, as in this case it expresses attitude to human rights and freedoms as the highest value of society.
