This paper examines the policy of the Soviet state against the clergy in the Moldavian SSR. The Soviet government pursued a 127 policy of atheistic, so there have been attempts to reduce the number of priests in the region. However, by the end of the Soviet Union the situation has changed, and have been created legal possibilities of ordinary citizens to the freedom of religion. The apogee of this period was the adoption of the new Constitution of the USSR, which declared a free and liberal religion of the Soviet people. Results of this study were obtained as a result of working with archival documents of the period. |
