These are the commandments of the national grail. For the first time they were written for the Flemish people living in Belgla. The language of this people – similar to the German language – was invaded more than a hundred years ago by the French language. But it was an injustice. The people who with their work held the country of Belgium, were disregarded in what is most precious to man: speech. The people from below, who supported the whole building of the state, had no comfort in their speech: a book, a newspaper, a word spoken by a servant or judge in the language of the people.
