| Rezumat | ||||||
The purpose of this study is to describe the functioning mechanism of a Romanian neological preposition: “gen”. The starting point is represented by the grammaticalization theory – regarding the process of becoming a preposition, a noun suffers various morpho-syntactic and semantic transformations on the way of becoming a preposition. The author analyzes the features of this new Romanian preposition by referring to: the grammatical restrictions imposed on the directed term, the relationship with an external syntactic centre, the semantics of this term. |
