Rezumat

The paper refers to the equipment for the espresso production process and some possibilities to increase the quality of the final product by implementing an adjustable tamping process. At present, the parameters of the extraction process are adjusted manually and the variation of the external factors change the quality of coffee beans. The implementation for the adjustable electromechanical system with DC motor and numerical control will allow the system to eliminate the adjustment errors of the grinding process. The verification of the calculated parameters of the adjustment system via computer simulation demonstrate the functionality of the proposed drive system of the brewing unit.
