Globally the building management has developed over the last two decades, into a welldefined business sector. Despite the stagnation during the pandemic period, due to urbanization, industrialization, technical progress, and concerns for energy efficiency, which continue the upward trend, it is estimated a compound annual growth rate of this sector of about 5.7%. The prospects of the facilities management market in the post-pandemic and global energy crisis period are related to government and private investments in infrastructure and construction, outsourcing of management services, development of various software solutions, extension of cloud-based facility management systems, and preferences for smart buildings. |
