Introduction. Psychology in comparison with anatomy is a young science, and in the last century, psychologists are increasingly concerned with behavioral psychology. Who studies attitudes, feelings, emotions and how different people react in various situations. Based on these topics, whole theories have been developed on which psychologists around the world are currently focusing. Objective of the study. To identify the effects of negative emotions on the nervous system. Materials and methods. The research focuses on documentation, analysis, statistics, and questionnaires. Result. Emotions can be defined as psychological states composed of subjective thoughts and experiences, physiological changes, express behaviors and predispositions to act. The exact combination of these elements differs from one emotion to another; an emotion may or may not be accompanied by visible behaviors. Conclusions. The sadness leads to a decrease in energy and enthusiasm for daily activities, which then leads to a decrease in metabolism. Thus, the frontal lobes, tonsils, hypothalamus, and neocortex are the most important structures of the brain that affect emotions. Nevertheless, emotions can affect the entire human body. When a person gets annoyed, the blood circulates faster through the hands, which is why some people can more easily handle a weapon when they are nervous. The heartbeat accelerates and releases hormones such as adrenaline, which generates more energy and strength. Fear causes circuits in emotional centers to eliminate some hormones that put the body on alert. |
