Introduction. Hepatic cyst is a liquid-containing formation with its own walls. On ultrasound, it is visualized as a capsule lesion with liquid content and anechoic appearance. Most of liver cysts are asymptomatic, and about 90% of them are occasionally detected. The aim of the study. To assess the role of imaging investigations in the early diagnosis of liver cysts in children. Material and methods: Patient D. aged 14 presented to Natalia Gheorghiu DPSOA with pain below the right rib on the right side, nausea, general weakness with a week of onset. Results. The clinical-paraclinical examination revealed an intrahepatic cystic formation based in the right lobe, S IV and in S III the left lobe (hydatid cyst type IIb in the right lobe and type I in the left lobe). He underwent surgery - laparotomy, cystectomy. Postoperative diagnosis: Hydatic cyst of the right lobe of the liver. Cystic lymphangioma in the left lobe of the liver. Discharged at 12 days postoperatively healthy surgery. The clinical case presented confirms the importance of the clinical-paraclinical, imaging examination, including the histopathological one to establish the positive diagnosis and the therapeutic attitude. Conclusions. A presumptive diagnosis of liver cysts was made by CT with vasography. Due to the visualization of the cysts at CT, information was obtained about the structure of the formations, their liquid content and their location. The final diagnosis was based on histopathological examination. |
