Rezumat

Underlining an example of utilization of the word to prove (a dovedi) in a letter written on a birch ross from the Novgorod town, the author considers that it had been brought by the Romanians who lived here, by a ma-nifestation of a practice from the unwritten Romanian law. Because they are problems who couldn’t establish the etymology of this word, the author proposed as an uphill a Latin juridical term. Derived from the Latin language like obligation to come at the court, vadato, this element from the earth law in the Romanian countries appeared in the ruler prescriptions with fixation of a certain term – coming day, with written documents, or with witnesses; which didn’t brought the prove (dovada), have lost the cause. In this way appeared in Novgorod too, there where was a Romanian community, to appear as element from jus valachicum, to prove with witnesses. However, so as mention the Russian researchers, the respective juridi-cal precedent, appeared with 200-250 years earlier, than in legal practice written from the XV century. Later utilize in law processes, the dovod term was the expression of a Romanian influence in the Russian language, from where was carried in other Slavonic languages. Close to Romanian language we find in the Byelorussian language dovad, where not incidental are more sources and toponyms of Romanian language.
