Purpose. Improvement of the results of orthopedic and surgical treatment of clavicle fractures in children. Materials and methods. During the years, 2007-2012 were treated 796 children with clavicle fracture with age from 3 years. Of 796 children, 668 children were treated conservatively (83.9%). Gypsum assets were used to healthy shoulder, thoracic abdomen, watsonJones. The duration of the asset has from three to 6 weeks. 128 children have undergone surgery, aged 11 years and more constituting 16.1%. Surgery in children younger than indicated by: open fracture of clavicle fractures with nerve and vessels damage and dish comminuted fractures potentially puncture skin tissue. Clavicle fragment fixation was performed with Kirschner’s and Ilizarov’s pins depending on the diameter collarbone. Results. In 790 cases, the results were good (99, 2%). In the early period (6-8 weeks after surgery) were two children with refraction. These children have been subjected to repeated surgery. Four children found inflammation of soft tissue around the spindle, failure to orthopedic, who were treated conservatively. Septic complications did not occur. Conclusions: 1. Basic treatment of clavicle fractures in children is the orthopedic. 2. Surgery was performed in 16, 1% of cases. The clavicle fracture surgery allows obtaining good results if surgery was performed qualitatively minimally invasive and relatively stable osteosynthesis.3. quality care in orthopedic postoperative period and compliance regime ensures prevention of complications. |
