Rezumat

The Erasmus Plus project “European Cultural Heritage: Resource for Education”- ECHRE is a Strategic Partnership for School Education aiming to explore the educational potential of the cultural heritage. The goal of the project is to use the cultural heritage as teaching and learning resource, in European education and in interdisciplinary science. ECHRE project addresses to teachers of any specialty, who can become true vectors for promoting European values and strengthening European identity, through deepening their knowledge about European history and culture as tool for economic development. The project had several training activities and good practice exchanges between different associations, NGOʼs and schools who act in the cultural and educational world by bringing together experts in European history, archaeology and cultural heritage, sociology and economics, members of civic and teachers associations, school teachers and managers, in order to collaborate to improve the quality of European citizenship education. Eight organizations collaborated in this partnership: four non-profit organizations (Muzeul Judetean Botoșani-Romania; Eurinnet-Italy; Opavská kulturní organizace p.o.-Czech Republic; Paydas Egitim Kultur ve Sanat DernegiTurkey) with four schools (Liceul Tehnologic Elie Radu-Botoșani, Romania; Liceo Statale „G. Lombardo Radice” Italy; ZS Opava, Vrchni 19 – p.o Czech Republic; Kocasinan Sumer Fen Lisesi Turkey) in four different countries: Romania, Italy, Czech Republic and Turkey. The project was prolonged and the mobility of students was necessary to be made in a very short time. It was a real challenge for the applicant- ZS Opava, Vrchni from Czech Republic, to arrange a special schedule in such a manner that all the activities to be ready in just a few months. During the activities non-profit organizations were closely engaged with the cultural education, promoting the European values. The four school partners are getting the chance to share and exchange ideas and methods. The teachers involved within the activities gained a broad understanding of the evolutionary process of building the European identity, as a result of values accumulation over thousands of years of existence. The visits in several museums, from each country, facilitated a good experience for the direct contact with the national and archaeological heritage. The participating students gave a good feedback for the activities and they expanded their knowledge.
