The results of the present study are presented accumulation of heavy metals in sediments from natural lakes (Beleu, Dracele, Rotunda, Badelnic) and Prut river - Manoelescu estuary, included in the Ramsar area No. 1029 „Lakes of the Lower Prut”, as wetlands of international importance. The total form of the heavy metals Pb, Cu, Zn and Ni was determined by the method Roethgen fluorescent spectrometry with apparatus Spectroscan MAX-G. The content of heavy metals in the studied sediments does not reach the alert thresholds and, even less, the intervention thresholds, and the highest values of the analyzed heavy metals (Pb, Zn, Cu, Ni and Co) were recorded for Lake Beleu, which could be determined by the influence of soil granulometry and the hydrology of the aquatic ecosystem - determined by the rhythm and intensity of floods. |
