The reconstruction of destroyed crown stumps of abutments for
refixturing of descemented orthopedic construction
In daily practice the dentist is often faced with difficult urgent problems which demand a
very quick solution. The most classical problem of this type - fracture of one or more stumps /
supports of crowns or pre-existing bridges.
Reconstruction of stump using fiber posts and a dual-cure [double polymerisation]
composite allows to solve urgent conditions directly, quickly. One of quite frequent events in
stomatological clinical practice - descementing of the anchor posts used at restoration of a
considerably destroyed crown part of an endodontically treated tooth or for fixing orthopedic
crown construction.
As our single clinical experience has shown and similar cases found under bibliographic
review, application of the given technique gives the chance to satisfy expectations of the patient
on average or for the short period of time, allowing it, thanks to simplicity, rapidity,
effectiveness and affordability of performance of the given technique immediately again to use
/carry/ old complete dental prosthesis.
The techniques of direct reconstruction using a fiber post and a dual-cure composite can be
represented by immediate makeshift of a existing problem, and may be a temporary intervention
in expectation future (subsequent) final solution of the respective problem. |
