This article is about the participation of the teams that represent Republic of Moldova at the World Universiade (years 1995-2011). For the first time National University team of the Republic of Moldova participated in the eighteenth edition of the World Universiade, later on taking part in nine consecutive editions. Number of participants from the Republic of Moldova vary from one edition to another with the largest number of athletes (34) at the twentieth edition in Sicily (Italy) in 1997. The best results of the representatives (teams) of the Republic of Moldova were recorded in the previous edition (2009). There were won three medals (gold, silver and bronze). For the Republic of Moldova World Universiade is a big international competition, but the preparation, participation and obtaining the results are the main objectives and main concern of the state.
