| Rezumat | ||||||
The article examines the nature of the relationship between the state and the citizen in the context of advancing the good governance. The various forms of the government relations between the public power and the society are identified, emphasizing the idea that the relation between the state and the citizen must be complementary and not dependent on each other as in the case of the totalitarian system of government. It is concluded that the diversification and identification of new lucrative institutional mechanisms for interaction between the state and the citizen would increase the civic activism of the population and involve more and more citizens in public affairs. |
