Rezumat

The research was conducted between 2019 and 2020 and looked at the external characteristics of the apple fruits studied and the percentage of sugar. The research aims to provide an answer to some of the problems facing apple crop technology, due to changes that are becoming increasingly complex worldwide. Due to recent climate change, severe drought is affecting fruit species in the early years of vegetation, so in this paper we have looked at the behavior of different apple varieties in different experimental years. The research was carried out on the site of a family location, in a family plantation in Vanju Mare, Mehedinti County. For this work, fruits were harvested from four varieties of apple (Golden spur, Idared, Jonathan and Frumos de Boskoop), where the area occupied by apple cultivation is about 1 ha. Regarding the biometric aspects, fruit samples were taken (25 fruits for each variety) harvested from different parts of the crown, on which the following determinations were made: large diameter, small diameter, fruit height based on which the yield index was determined, size and dry matter. The weight of the fruit was determined by weighing it. In the case of these indicators, the data obtained were statistically processed using the method of analysis of variance(1), as a control being used the average of the varieties.
