The pages of this article highlight and analyse the educational valences of the children’s choir creations by Teodor Zgureanu, a renowned composer and choir conductor from the Republic of Moldova. The author focuses on highlighting the set of educational values characteristic of these works, the pedagogical ways of approaching them in vocal-coral work with pupils at the musical education lesson in preschool and pre-university educational institutions. It is broadly analysed the theme exploited by the composer in such works (love for nature, nation, country) and the elements of musical language used (melodic contour, melodicrhythmic formulas, tempo and dynamic plan). Also, according to the criteria of classifying the works by theme and age, and the specifics of gradual acquisition / understanding of musical language, the author proposes the introduction of several pieces of music for children by Teodor Zgureanu in the Music Education curriculum (for vocal-choral interpretation and audition activities), relevant to the affective and cognitive level of the children / pupils from the preschool, primary and secondary levels of education. |
