Rezumat

In this article the author had intended to explain some peculiar aspects of the so called phenomenon of Sovietization within the dimension of the Cold War concept. The whole discussion is centered on the effects of the allied strategy to win the war and on the postwar planning. The precise aim was to reveal how the soviets managed to incorporate in their empire a territorial chunk of the European continent. Therefore, the geopolitical aspect is the one upon which the whole rationale of the article has been laid. It comprises the military and political facets of the allied policy that has brought up the so called effect of Sovietization. The ideological effects of the Sovietization are not to be elucidated within the boundaries of this article because it would require a different approach. Also, the reader will have the opportunity to grasp the image of some allied war conferences which are usually portrayed in a redeeming allure.
