Formation and development of the physical science in the Academy of Sciences of Moldova got its origin in 50-60-es years of the last century. Some well-known scientists made a significant contribution to this process and put the foundation for the modern investigations. T. Malinowski, S. Radautsan, Yu. Perlin, brothers S. and V. Moskalenko, V. Kovarskii, D. Gitsu should be mentioned first. The special place in the organization of physical science in R. Moldova occupies academician T. Malinowski, scientist, teacher, organizer, creator of the moldavian school of structural crystallography. The following topics will be discussed: • The role of T.
