Early 1960s in Moldova, it has become a time and time of emerging "food crises". Oil, meat, bread and many other products disappeared from the shops every now and then. This became a symptom of the beginning of a slowdown in the economic development of the USSR, which until about 1958-1959. proceeded at a very fast pace (however, it had little effect on the provision of food and manufactured goods to citizens). And this became another reason for the disappointment of the republic's residents in the USSR, which, even more than a decade and a half after the war, was unable to establish a normal supply of the country's citizens with everything necessary. The "food" topic was constantly on the agenda of many authors of letters addressed to the authorities of the republic.
