Rezumat

Based on the transformative theory, the present research examines the predictive value of the style of Leadership on counterproductive work behavior and the role of the emotions as mediator between these two variables. 102 subordinates from different organizations participated in this study. The participants were asked to complete three questionnaires: MLQ (Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire), MEST-Ro (emotions as state and trait) and SCWB (Scale of Counterproductive Work Behavior). The results indicate that the leadership style predicts the counterproductive work behavior (oriented towards organinization and as well as towards individual from the organization) . Negative Affectivity partially mediates the relationship between the style of leadership and counterproductive work behavior.
