An ideal Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) courseware remains not an alternative but a complementary tool in reinforcing classroom activities. Apart from educators' ability to design appropriate CALL courseware, CALL's effectiveness is dependent on teachers' willingness to adopt new attitudes and techniques to language education. Computer, without a question, is fantastic teaching tool, particularly when it comes to teaching languages in any aspect, including vocabulary, grammar, composition, pronunciation, and other linguistic and pragmatic-communication skills. And it appears that the computer's significant advantages in improving language acquisition exceed its disadvantages. |
