After the beginning of the French Revolution from 1789 holidays receive political importance. Beside the fact that the revolutionaries tried to put out the religious holidays, they used the holidays to legitimate their power. A very important contribution at studying the revolutionary process and the holidays belongs to French researcher Mona Ozouf. She introduced the concept of the transfer of sacrality, from the religious ceremonies to revolutionary processions. This phenomenon was later specific to the totalitarian societies of the XX-th century. After referring to the Bolsheviks experience, we stopped on the theoretical books about holidays, which appeared in Socialist Moldavia, in 1970-1980–es.The authors considered that the building of the new holidays hasn’t come to an end and that there were serious religious reminiscences. |
