Background. Chronic rhinosinusitissuppuration is an important ENT condition, with high incidence and persistent evolution. Directly affecting the quality of life of diagnosed patients, it often requires interdisciplinary consultation. Chronic suppurative rhinosinusitis can cause such serious complications as: phlegmon of the orbit, retrobulbar cellulite, meningoencephalitis, brain absess etc. Objective of the study. Submission a clinical case of Chronic hemirinosinusitis suppuration in exacerbation, complicated by retrobulbar cellulitis and frontal intracerebral abscess, post-COVID. Material and Methods. Patient P., 50 years old, sex m., Hospitalized on 21.11.2020, in the ENT clinic of IMSP SCR with accusations of headache, moderate purulent rhinorrhea, periorbital edema, exophthalmos, vertigo, partial nasal obstruction on the left. Objective: massive crusts in the left nasal cavity (totally occupies the left nasal fossa), moderate purulent secretions. Mild hypersensitivity to percussion and average pain in the area of affected sinuses. Results. Despite the plurivalent treatment administered, the general condition of the patient on 29.11.20 suddenly worsened with multiple organ failure: cardio-respiratory and renal. In the patient, it triggers cardio-respiratory arrest, manifesting itself by marked acrocyanosis in the region of the right hemithorax and face. Despite the measures of cardio - pulmonary resuscitation, biological death is found. Conclusion. Patients who have suffered from SARS-Covid-2 with concomitant diseases, such as diabetes, etc., require a prompt evaluation after discharge from the hospital by the family doctor with the consultation of other specialists and rigorous examination if necessary |
