Background. Trauma is a medical emergency, having a major impact on the functionality of the human body. Objective of the study. Description of the structure of prehospital trauma emergencies from 2020. Material and Methods. Retrospective analysis of the Request Sheets from 2020 of the PMSI National Centre of Prehospital Emergency Medicine. Results. In 2020, from the total number of 761.416 requests served, 72.724 traumatic emergencies constituted 9.55%, of which in the rural region-54.10%, in the urban one-45.90%. Trauma in children-20.30%. By degree of urgency: major-26.60%, grade II-71.33%, grade III-1.40%. By groups: trauma of the musculoskeletal system-38.1%, craniocerebral-24.2%; of soft tissues 24.7%; thoracic-4.9%; burns-3.1%; of the spine-0.8%; frostbite-0.1; others-4.1%. Trauma as result of road accidents-4.22%, domestic-61.6%, sports-0.96%, aggression-13.05%. The share of patients, which required transportation to medical institutions, was 71%, hospitalization-65.1%. Conclusion. Continuous improvement in the assessment and provide of emergency care will reduce the rate of mortality and disability at the prehospital stage as well as the faster healing of the traumatized patient. |
