Background. Skin lesions are increasingly reported during the pandemic with COVID-19 and the potential link to this infection has been identified immediately Objective of the study. Identification of cases of cutaneous manifestations in SARS COV -2 infection Material and Methods. Analysis of case studies and literature with clinical case presentation. Results. Skin manifestations may present as: exanthema, urticaria, polymorphic eritema, purple eruption kawasaki's disease. peripheral ischemic injuries type of frosting. These lesions observed in patients with COVID-19 severe or critical forms, present as peripheral cyanotic lesions, vividly reticulated, sometimes with bullous lesions that may progress to dry gangrene. These lesions appear to be secondary to the systemic effects of COVID-19, especially thrombotic vasculopathy, but have been shown in young patients as well, manifesting post-SARS CoV-2 infection, demonstrated by the presence of antibodies. Conclusion. Numerous cases of frostbite injuries affecting the extremities have been documented. These data indicate a special prevalence in adolescents. The lesions often affect the feet more than the hands and may be accompanied by pain or itching. |
