Rezumat

This piece of work highlightens the connections between stress and the physical and psychological
condition, respectively between stress and diabetes. The recent studies proved
that the risk of getting ill with diabetes type II is 45 % higher if the human body faces
stress for a long period of time. The long term stress or frequent, but for a short period of
time can lead to psychological and somatic changes in the entire human body. From a
psychological point of view, new features may appear or the old ones may become exaggerated:
tendency of self-blaming, introversion, low self-esteem, gelosy, aggressivity, etc.
Here are presented the effects of prolongued stress, with the accent on the results of type
II diabetes.
